Things I'm Loving FriYay! #1

Happy Friday y'all!

I have decided to start a new continuing blog that celebrates the amazing day that is Friday.  Because who wouldn't want to end the week on a good note?

Each Friday I will be sharing with you some of my favorite things in this beautiful world of ours.  These may be products I have discovered, places I have (or want to) explore, and shoutouts to good people doing good things because if there is one thing we need more of in this world it is GOOD.

So here it is--the first edition of Things I'm Loving FriYay!  And if you have anything you would like to share, please leave them in the comments below!

  • Live Eco Place Mat

Suction toddler place mat plate, cup, fork on table

This has been one of my all time favorite mommy products pretty much since my son learned how to feed himself.  You know that magical moment when your kid realizes that it is much easier to throw their plate of food on the floor than say/sign "all done"?  Yeah--whoever invented this does too.

Simply put, this place mat style plate using a suction type grip to stick to the surface of your high chair or table.  Each time your little darling tries to pull that throw on the floor crap it actually sticks harder to the table.  Take that tiny human!

Mine was a gift from my lovely mother who purchased it from LiveEco.  However, they do come in many brands and if you are an Amazon lover like I am, you can find it through the link right here.

  • Sassy Trainer Cup

You know that sweet little toddler angel from above that likes to throw his plate of food everywhere?  Yeah, well he also likes to do that with cups.  And as much as I love my $2 plastic toss and grab ones from Walmart, their tops tend to fly off when hurled at high speeds onto my kitchen floor.  After about ten times of this happening, yes, I did "cry over spilled milk."

So let me introduce you to the Sassy Trainer Cup.  This is the perfect cup to use when trying to transition your kiddo from both straws and spouts to sipping from the rim.  The lid twists on and stays strong using a suction like hold that allows for the liquid to still pass through.

You as the parent have the option of tightening or loosening the lid depending on how much you want to flow out.  It also comes with this great detachable handle option to allow the cup to grow with your child.  You can find it here.

  • The Crooked Cup Coffee Shop

Alright coffee, tea, baked good, and general coffee shop lovers, have I got the place for you.  Unfortunately, they only exist in Colorado and Wyoming.  Fortunately, those are both great places to visit, so you should.....and while you are here stop by The Crooked Cup.

I discovered this little gem this week on a "mom date" and I can safely say it is my new favorite coffee shop in town.  Though it is a chain, it feels local.  You walk in and the baristas are chipper and sweet.  They know their menu like the back of their hand and can recommend a great combination of food and drink for you right away.  Which, I guess, isn't hard to do since it all is amazing.

I had the pleasure of trying a Kolache, which is basically an Eastern European pastry stuffed with a delicious filling, usually fruity but can be anything.  I had the "Cheyenne" which was stuffed with green chiles and cheese.  And you know if it has green chile in it, I am all over it.

I paired my Kolache with a drink called the "Crooked Pirate", which was basically a Coconut Matcha Green Tea Latte.  It was absolutely splendid and I highly recommend you try them should you ever get the chance.
