Things I'm Loving Friday #10

I am not certain if Friday has ever looked so sweet.  Even though, as a SAHM, I don't go into an office every day, Friday is still just as glorious as before--if not more--because it means I am trading in the single parent lifestyle for two full days while I actually have my husband around to help out.

This week particularly has been a brutal one because a stomach bug has taken over my poor boy and let's just say these past couple of days have been...messy.  Just know that I am LOVING disposable toddler undies, wet wipes, and my super amazing washer/dryer combo.  Get the picture?

Other than the nasty stomach bug, however, the week has been pretty great.  My kiddo's party was such fun, despite the 50 mph wind we had.  I was most thankful that the major winter snow storm that we had coming held out until Monday.  I didn't mind, of course, because it was absolutely beautiful and back to gorgeous weather the next day.  Just how I like my snow storms!

So here we are again.  I hope you enjoy this week's Things I'm Loving FriYay!  And if you have anything recommendations of new things for me to try out--please drop them in the comments section!

  • {Why} Motherhood Matter by September McCarthy

I know I have mentioned this book here before, but I simply must bring it up again because it is that good.  Along with my bible study ladies, we are about 1/3 the way through the book and are just eating it up.  Because of this study I look forward to Monday evenings as my time to set myself on the right track for the rest of the week.

There is something so refreshing about gathering with other women on the same era of life and finding fellowship with one another.  And I can't tell you how amazing it is to read September's story (she's a mom to 10 y'all) and find comfort in knowing that I am not so different after all.  For all my mama followers, I highly recommend it for your bible study, book club, or simply to read on your own.

  • Play-Doh Shape & Learn: Make & Measure
play-doh, shape and learn, make and measure
My son received this gift from his great aunt for his birthday this past weekend and it is so incredibly cool.  It comes with three measuring tubes, a variety of play-doh colors, tongs, bug cutters, and play mats.  Honestly, while he was just wanting to smash around in the play-doh it was me having a ball cutting out and measuring the shapes.

This kit is perfect gift for kids two and up to help them experiment with early science skills while working on their sensory-motor development and creative thinking.  You can find it here on Amazon Prime for only $8!
